Wednesday - Wet n Wild Day

Today we continued pulling weeds and clearing brush in our work projects, including one new one. Tonight we had even more kids (93) in the clubs with 4 decisions to follow Christ. The angels are celebrating with us tonight!

In worship, Austin talked about living a life of right relationships - with Christ. As he went out on his own to college for the first time, Austin was priviledged to join a group of 5 guys who became his accountability partners. High school D-groups can be that kind of group, so Austin encouraged the students to join one. Then he talked about how Paul in the New Testament was encouraging and not condescending as he taught those he discipled. 1 Peter 2:17 says to show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, and fear God. He encouraged the students to show justice - God's love - to those in need, but also to those you see everyday. Austin shared how he was timid with those on the lacrosse team, but we need to be bold and get out there as our theme verse says - ask, seek, and knock on the door of opportunities for serving God and others.
